The Dancing Ribbon Needle
Australian designed and hand made, this special punchneedle, The Dancing Ribbon Needle, works 7mm to 13mm silk ribbon. The needle is easily and simply adjusted to different lengths to produce loops of varying sizes. The results are sumptuous and thrilling. It is necessary to use a lip-lock hoop when embroidering with the Dancing Ribbon Needle. An 8" (20cm) or 10" (25cm) lip-lock hoop is ideal.

The attraction of silk ribbon embroidery
I have long admired the wonderful silk ribbon embroidery produced by many talented embroiderers'. The wide range of ribbon colours and textures now available is exciting and gives fascinating results. I love embroidering with my punchneedles so I explored how I might use silk ribbons to add further texture and colour to my embroidery.
