I have found that if a good quality thread is being used then placing the hoop over a punched area is possible. The area in question needs to have had the loops worked closely together. The loops may become quite squashed and flattened but can be raised up by scratching with a fingernail or by a shot of steam from an iron held above the embroidery. If moving the hoop over embroidery where the punched loops are not close together it is important to protect the stitching with the use of a doughnut which is a square of fabric with a hole cut from the centre. This is placed over the fabric being worked upon before putting the hoop together. Alternatively, use a larger hoop which fits the design.
Bought the new video, what can I say it is GREAT, even my husband sat and watched it through to the end, easy to follow, and clear.
